Ride Like a Girl

"Ride Like a Girl"
f4.5 - 1/60 - ISO200 - no flash - 32mm

I've blended the Orton effect with my personal art effects. The image is made up of the original image plus 3 additional layers (1 blurred duplicate and 2 textured) to create this image. Hope you like it.

I uploaded this image so that you can see it in a larger format.
Even at this size I'm not sure you can see what is going on in it..
Check out my flickr photostream as well.

Sit Awhile - Park Bench

Shot this bench in Banff August 23 '11. I processed it as a fake tilt/shift image to draw attention to the bench.

The Herding

Truth be known I shot this while driving (driver distraction laws not in effect at the time)and is made up from 5 images. There are a few spots that need editing however I wanted to see if I could pull this off as it is my first panorama that included animals and people.
To see it large click on the image then click it again.
Caution it is over 25MB *smile*.

Chipmunk & Singh-Ray UV filter _DSC6742

There simply is no comparison. Singh-Ray is the best UV filter you can buy!

Grizzle and Two Cubs

f5.6 - ISO500 - 1/125 - no flash - 420mm
I have since replace the UV filter on this lens for obvious reasons.

This Grizzle was a great mom to show her two cubs off to us for over half an hour. We followed and photographed her along Highwood Pass in K-country.

Sunrise at Barrier Lake - Mt. Baldy

f11 - ISO200 - 1/3 - no flash - 18mm

The day after Nathan and I shot this sunrise there was a cougar attack at this lake. We were very fortunate, we went on to shoot a Grizzly Bear and her two cubs for over half an hour.

Lesser Slave Lake - panorama June 16 '11

Another pano of Lesser Slave Lake taken at the end of the airport runway. To me the lake is special, maybe not so much for others.

Slave Lake - Books to Cubes

I spent a few weeks in Slave Lake after the devastating wildfires destroyed about 30% of the towns homes and its businesses. This image was taken July 10th of what was left of their new library.

The entire town was evacuated for two weeks and incredibly no one was incurred by the fire. Although they started to rebuild the first house at this time it will take years to rebuild this Northern Alberta town.
