Well, let me tell you.

Sure I shoot lots of bicycle races and other bike stuff around the province, tons of images of the Canadian Rockies, flowers, birds and mammals of all sorts, so why weddings?

In my opinion, the traditional static wedding photo package can benefit from a kick in the keyster with this type of photography. Either as the primary photographer or in addition to your traditional photographer I will enhance the photographic experience of your very special day.

A special offer for 2010 - from Keithstudios to you.

For the amount of time and effort it takes to send an email, you can receive a deep discount on any of my photography services. This offer ends December 31,2010. CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.

What are the benefits of my style of photography?
Take a close look at what is being offered. This service is tailor made for the bride that likes to get involved with how the photographs are printed, packaged and distributed.

This offer is open to all weddings being held in Canada during the year 2010. Travel expenses to your wedding are 'not' included outside of Calgary, Alberta.

Take part and have fun. More information can be found [herel. Keep in touch with me on [Twitter] or on my Facebook [Fanpage].

One of my clients said it best;
"You have frozen one of the most important days of our life forever in time with your stunning photos. Your timely presence gave us back those perfect moments we ourselves missed. We can not thank you enough for that simple but remarkable gift we will treasure them everlastingly". - Tanya and William A.

On your wedding day, you are very aware of what is happening directly around you but what is happening around the rest of your guests? Are the in-law having a good time? What is everyone laughing at over in the garden? As a photojournalist, these are all answered in my photo story of your wedding. No other type of photography offers this storytelling, it's a great complement to any traditional photographer or on its own.

email today, now to ensure you are included in the next draw. More information can be found at: http://www.keithstudios.com/photos/brideNgroom.html

BK Memorial Cyclocross

Speed Theory (a high performance cycling team) presented the Brian Kullman Memorial Cyclocross Race at Montgomery Jr. High School this past Sunday November 8 ’09. The event featured the Alberta Cyclocross Provincial Championships.

Cyclocross is a combination of cross-country running, mountain biking, hurdles, and road cycling. Usually the race course is between 2.5 and 3.5 km in length along a predetermined course of sharp hills, mud or sand pits, long straights and steep stairs. Pretty much anything else you can think of that you can though at the rider to test their technical abilities and stamina is valid. The circuit is lapped a number of times within an hour.

Cyclocross has a huge following in Europe. There are crowds of tens of thousands following many race venues each year. Here in Canada its popularity is growing tremendously and Alberta has sent many riders to National and World Championships.

During Sunday’s warm-up, you could see the camaraderie between riders. Everyone was serious about warming up for the race but you could see all had time to talk to their fellow team mates and racers. There were also a number of amateur photographers there shooting the event.

This event was Alberta Bicycling Association’s Cyclocross Provincial Championships and the last race of the year. Keep an eye out next year for Cyclocross races, as I’m sure you like the action packed events that are fit for the whole family.

Remington Cross for Kids

Expert first and second place men were side-by-each for most of the race, during Sunday October 18th Cyclocross at Calgary's COP.

There were some spills in the sand pit:

And then there was this amazing 14 year old. This was his first every race and he was focused the entire race.

For those racers new to what I do, you can buy these images online. Review my Flickr photostream [profile] for [details] on how to purchase the images.

I had a great time, I didn't publish all of the images (1120 plus), but managed to put up just under 500. Flickr photostream

Wedding Photojournalism

So this past weekend I hi-jacked a static photographers wedding project. With all do respect to the photographer, it was my intent to capture the event from a different perspective and share it with the bride, groom and their party guests. It was great fun! I told the Bride that if she gave me a good testimonial I would give her a copy of the photos. Are you kidding me, that's over 800.00 worth of photography for a letter? Tell me what do you think.

"You have frozen one of the most important days of our life forever in time with your stunning photos. Your timely presence gave us back those perfect moments we ourselves missed. We can not thank you enough for that simple but remarkable gift we will treasure them everlastingly". - Tanya and William A.

Photojournalism and Flickr

I've added several photojournalist projects on Flickr. Each project whether it's my passion for the bicycle, the Rocky Mountains or people have hundreds of images in each set and collection. Todate, there is over 5000 images posted. Many of you have probable come from that account to participate in making a donation to help support that account and for making it available to you. As a rule-of-thumb, a donation of $10.00 is very reasonable and greatly appreciated.

Please note:
Currently (Aug 09) I sell a digital image that is posted on Flickr for $10.00 each. If you want to buy an image that you have seen on Flickr just email me and include the name and the set you found it in, including the link to the image is very helpful. After I receive your payment I will email you the files.

I retain all copyrights to all images. If I will sell you an image file, you are entitled to make personal copies only. You may not sell or market them in anyway by any means. If you want an image file without watermarks there is an additional $20.00 charge of per image.

I am available for photography assignments across Canada, please email me for details.

Thank-you sincerely
